GRACE

by Jody O’Neill

in association with Cork Opera House and Pavilion Theatre

A new play for young people (ages 8+) and families from Jody O'Neill (What I (Don’t) Know About Autism), Grace tells the story of a girl who has a relationship with her father where no words are needed. In fact, Grace doesn’t use words to talk at all. When her father dies suddenly, Grace needs to find a new way to communicate.

‘A ghost, a sparrow, a mother and a girl. Love doesn’t need words. You can just feel it.’

This exciting new production explores family and communication as Grace and her father invite you into the multisensory landscape of Grace’s world.

Written by Jody O’Neill, directed by Niall Cleary, and performed by Eleanor Walsh, Bryan Burroughs, and Grace Kiely, Grace premiered at Cork Midsummer Festival.

Supported by Baboró, the Abbey Theatre and the Arts Council of Ireland.

Access provided by Arts & Disability Ireland.
