RORY NOLAN
Rory’s first short play, The Audition was selected and produced by Fishamble for Tiny Plays for Ireland. His first full length stage play You Belong to Me was selected by Druid Theatre Company for its Druid Debut series at The Galway International Arts Festival in July 2018, directed by Garry Hynes andstarring Marie Mullen and Sean McGinley.
Rory edited and directed Thirst (and other bits of Flann), a retrospective of the writings of Flann O’Brien at the Peacock Theatre in December 2018, which was subsequently nominated for Best Ensemble at the Irish Times Theatre Awards.
As an actor Rory was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards for his role in The Government Inspector at The Abbey Theatre and for his role as Falstaff inDruidShakespeare. For his role as Pozzo in Waiting for Godot, Rory received Best Supporting Actor atThe Irish Times Theatre awards.
